GAF Construction in Ontario, CA | Iron Beam Contractors

We’re an independent contractor that installs and services GAF roofing systems across Ontario, from the 1950s ranch tracts off the 91762 grid to newer infill along the 91764 corridor, and we also provide GAF service in Montclair. The thing that separates our GAF work here is that we plan every tear-off and install around Ontario’s SCAQMD dust-control rules and the way Santa Ana winds stress shingle adhesive strips on older slab-on-grade homes. Call (833) 756-5936 for a free estimate on GAF roof replacement, repair, or a standing seam metal upgrade.

Why Ontario Residents Choose Us for GAF Service

We’ve pulled enough failed three-tab off Ontario tract homes to know what’s underneath before the first shingle comes up. Nolan Driscoll grew up in the Friendly Hills area of Orange and spent his early years around Santiago Oaks, which means he understands Inland Valley soil, grade, and how heat radiates off slab foundations into attic spaces — experience we bring to GAF in Upland as well. That background shapes how we approach every GAF install here: ventilation first, underlayment second, shingle selection third.

We carry a full range of GAF sales & service capability, but we’re not a factory dealer. That matters. Our estimates come from what your deck and attic actually need, not from a volume target. We use GAF starter strip, ridge vent, and underlayment because those accessories are engineered to work with the shingle system. When an aftermarket flashing or vent solves a real detailing problem better, we say so. One contractor, every phase.

Common GAF Construction Problems We Solve in Ontario

  • Adhesive-strip seal failure after Santa Ana events. We see this constantly on Timberline HDZ shingles installed on 1950s-1970s Ontario tract homes. The wind catches the rake and ridge edges, tabs lift, and once the seal strip is compromised, the next wind event does more damage. This is a repair we handle early, before water gets to the decking.
  • Premature granule loss on south- and west-facing slopes. Ontario’s summer deck temperatures spike hard on those exposures. If attic ventilation is undersized, the shingle surface overheats and the granule layer starts shedding. We find this on homes where the original builder vents were never upgraded. The fix is a balanced ridge-and-soffit vent plan paired with a shingle rated for high heat.
  • Leaks traced to reused ridge vent and missing starter course. When a previous contractor overlays new shingles instead of tearing off, the ridge vent often gets re-nailed through old material and the starter course is skipped entirely. We’ve fixed this on re-roofs all over Ontario, particularly in the newer infill where speed mattered more than detail.
  • Liberty self-adhered membrane debonding on low-slope patio tie-ins. Ontario ranch homes frequently have covered patios and porch roofs with low slope. Dust and debris that settles before priming, especially near active construction or the warehouse belt, prevents the self-adhered membrane from bonding at terminations. We’re disciplined about clearing and priming that surface.
  • Skip-sheathing underdecking failures on the original 1950s builds. Pulling off two layers of old shingle often reveals skip-sheathing with soft spots at valleys and around old roof penetrations. On a 1962 single-story stucco ranch off the 91762 grid, we tore off failed three-tab and found exactly that. We re-sheeted, ran GAF Liberty through the low-slope patio tie-in, and finished with Timberline HDZ plus balanced ventilation. The homeowner’s winter ceiling stains stopped because the leak was a flashing-and-ventilation problem, not a shingle-color problem.

GAF Service in Ontario: What Local Conditions Mean for Your Equipment

Ontario’s industrial belt around the airport and the 91761 corridor falls under SCAQMD dust-control and equipment-idling rules that contractors working the foothill cities to the north don’t hit the same way. What that means for a GAF tear-off near the warehouse district is contained debris chutes, watered-down dumpster loading, and staged delivery timing, not just a dumpster in the driveway. If you’re getting a GAF roof replaced on a 1950s ranch tract in the 91762 ZIP, the same rules apply but with less idling scrutiny than you’d see on GAF repair in Chino. The point is that jobsite containment here isn’t optional. It’s the local fingerprint on every roofing project we run in Ontario.

GAF Models & Products We Service in Ontario

We install and repair across the GAF residential line: Timberline HDZ architectural shingles, Timberline UHDZ for the heavier profile, Liberty Self-Adhered for low-slope patio and porch roofs, and EverGuard TPO for single-ply membrane applications. We keep starter strip, ridge vent, and underlayment on hand so a repair doesn’t wait on a parts order. When your existing GAF roof is under about 15 years old with isolated storm or flashing damage, we repair. Widespread seal or granule failure means replacement, and we’ll walk the slopes with you before recommending either.
